Boycott Campaign – Palestine (BCP) has strongly denounced the United Arab Emirates (UAE) for allowing the Israeli occupation state to take part in Expo 2020 in Dubai in next October.
Israel has already started to prepare its own wing in the Dubai fair and promote its participation in the event.
BCP reiterated its call on the countries and parties that intend to participate in the event to boycott it and withdraw from it in protest at the participation of the occupation regime.
It also urged UAE to backtrack on its decision to allow the Israelis to participate in the world expo and to abide by the Arab League boycott of Israel and relevant resolutions taken by the Arab foreign ministers.
“Boycotting the Israeli occupation and confronting all forms of normalization is a collective responsibility and a necessary struggle measure in order to deprive the occupation and its institutions of using some of its most important hegemony and control tools against our societies and capabilities” BCP said.
It warned that such exhibitions and events are exploited by the occupation state to market itself to the world as “an oasis of peace and coexistence and to cover its daily crimes against the Palestinian people.”
