Mai Al-Kailah the Palestinian Minister of Health announced on Sunday that 13 deaths 2264 new cases of the coronavirus and 1446 recoveries were recorded during the past 24 hours.
Kailah confirmed in the daily epidemiological report of coronavirus that 12 deaths were recorded in the West Bank: al-Khalil 3 Ramallah and Al-Bireh 2 Salfit 1 the suburbs of Jerusalem 2 Tulkarem 1 Qalqilya 1 and Nablus 2 in addition to one death in the Gaza Strip.
She said that the new infections were distributed according to the following: Qalqilya 94 Jerusalem suburbs 174 Nablus 285 Ramallah and Al-Bireh 435 Tulkarem 123 Bethlehem 145 al-Khalil 595 Tubas 38 Jericho and Al-Aghwar 36 Jenin 88 Salfit 82 and the Gaza Strip 169.
The new recoveries were recorded as follows: Qalqilya 113 Jerusalem suburbs 104 Nablus 30 Ramallah and Al-Bireh 356 Tulkarem 50 Bethlehem 130 al-Khalil 337 Tubas 24 Jericho and Al-Aghwar 38 Jenin 55 Salfit 82 and the Gaza Strip 127 the minister added.
Kailah pointed out that there are 146 critically ill patients who have been admitted to intensive care units including 40 who have been placed on ventilators.
She noted that the recovery rate of coronavirus reached 88.9 percent while the rate of active infections reached 10 percent and the death rate was 1.1% of all infections.
