The Palestinian Ministry of Health in Ramallah announced on Wednesday that 159 new cases of the coronavirus and 92 recoveries were recorded during the past 24 hours.
The ministry confirmed in the daily epidemiological report of coronavirus that the new infections were distributed geographically to 119 in the Gaza Strip and 40 cases in the occupied West Bank.
It stated that the new recovery cases were distributed geographically to 74 in the Gaza Strip and 18 in the occupied West Bank.
The recovery rate of the coronavirus reached 98.6 percent while the rate of active infections reached 0.3 percent and the death rate was 1.1% of all infections the ministry added.
The ministry pointed out that there are 10 critically ill patients who have been admitted to intensive care units.
Regarding the vaccination campaign the total number of people who received the corona vaccine in the West Bank and Gaza Strip reached 582721 including 412136 who received the two doses of the vaccine.
