Mai Al-Kailah the Palestinian Minister of Health said on Wednesday that 176 new cases of the coronavirus and 118 cases of recovery were recorded during the past 24 hours.
Kailah confirmed in the daily epidemiological report of coronavirus that the new infections were distributed as follows: Nablus 10 Jenin 5 Tulkarem 1 Ramallah and Al-Bireh 3 al-Khalil 1 the Gaza Strip 154 and Jerusalem Suburbs 2 noting that 3307 examinations were conducted.
The new recovery cases were recorded according to the following: Jenin 10 Tulkarem 3 Ramallah and Al-Bireh 2 al-Khalil 3 and the Gaza Strip 100 the minister added.
Kailah said that the recovery rate of the coronavirus reached 98 percent while the rate of active infections reached 0.9 percent and the death rate was 1.1% of all infections.
She pointed out that there are 6 critically ill patients who have been admitted to intensive care units including 1 who has been placed on ventilators.
Regarding the vaccination campaign the minister pointed out that the total number of people who received the corona vaccine in the West Bank and Gaza Strip reached 467225 including 311683 who received the two doses of the vaccine.
