The Palestinian Ministry of Health in Ramallah announced on Wednesday that 21 deaths 815 new cases of the coronavirus and 1979 recoveries were recorded during the past 24 hours.
Mai Al-Kailah the Palestinian Minister of Health confirmed in the daily epidemiological report of coronavirus that 15 deaths and 203 infections were recorded in the West Bank while 6 deaths and 612 new cases were recorded in the Gaza Strip.
Kailah said that the recovery rate of the coronavirus reached 93.8 percent while the rate of active infections reached 5.1 percent and the death rate was 1.1% of all infections.
She pointed out that there are 136 critically ill patients who have been admitted to intensive care units including 40 who have been placed on ventilators.
Regarding the vaccination campaign the minister said that the total number of people who received the corona vaccine in the West Bank and Gaza Strip reached 261322 including 192201 who received the two doses of the vaccine.
