Mai Al-Kailah the Palestinian Minister of Health announced on Monday that 31 deaths and 1514 new cases of the coronavirus were recorded after conducting 5458 examinations during the past 24 hours.
Kailah stated in the daily epidemiological report of coronavirus that 1848 new recoveries were recorded. The recovery rate of coronavirus reached 81.4 percent while the rate of active infections reached 17.7 percent and the death rate was 0.9% of all infections.
She said that 17 deaths were recorded in the West Bank as follows: Nablus 4 Tulkarem 3 Jenin 3 Bethlehem 3 al-Khalil 1 Ramallah 3 in addition to 11 deaths in the Gaza Strip and 3 in Jerusalem.
The new infections were distributed according to the following: Nablus 157 Tulkarem 89 the suburbs of Jerusalem 61 Tubas 30 Salfit 44 Jenin 144 Bethlehem 96 al-Khalil 171 Ramallah 191 Qalqilya 23 Jericho 16 Gaza Strip 280 and Jerusalem 212 according to the minister.
She added that the new recoveries were recorded as follows: Nablus 352 Tulkarem 108 Tubas 44 Salfit 42 Jenin 143 Bethlehem 40 al-Khalil 115 Ramallah 231 Qalqilya 42 Gaza Strip 451 and Jerusalem 280.
Kailah pointed out that there are 136 critically ill patients who have been admitted to intensive care units including 37 who have been placed on ventilators.
