Hemaya for Human Rights called on Friday for an international investigation into the brutal assault against a Palestinian female detainee at the hands of an Israeli female soldier.
The incident was filmed by an Israeli soldier and widely shared on social media platforms.
The footage showed an Israeli soldier slapping and severely beating a Palestinian girl after her arrest.
The detained girl appeared to be astonished and shocked while being subjected to violent beatings and insults.
The Israeli soldier also took off the girl’s headscarf against her will.
In letters published in its website Hemaya for Human Rights briefed UN bodies and international figures about the savage assault while the detainee was not posing any threat during the incident.
The human rights center mentioned in this regard the international laws and conventions that contain strict rules about the treatment and protection of detainees and prisoners.
