Dr. Essam Youssef head of the Popular International Committee to Support Gaza Strip has called Thursday for a broad campaign to rebuild Palestinian homes that have been demolished by Israel under flimsy pretexts.
Youssef said that Israel’s escalated demolition policy aims at displacing Palestinian families and confiscating their homes.
However Israeli attempts to uproot the Palestinian people from their land will never succeed he added.
He called on civil society organizations and international rights institutions to unite their efforts in a broad campaign with the aim of rebuilding homes that have been punitively demolished by Israeli occupation forces.
Families of Palestinian prisoners and martyrs who recently lost their homes are in dire need for our support and assistance according to him.
“The campaign will help strengthen their steadfastness in face of Israeli racist policies.”
Youssef concluded by hailing Palestinian families in the West Bank Gaza Strip and occupied Jerusalem who sacrificed their beloved ones in defense of their lands and holy shrines.
