Campaign of arrests in West Bank

Israeli occupation forces (IOF) launched on Monday a campaign of arrests and raids in the West Bank.

In Ramallah IOF stormed the Al-Shorfa neighborhood and clashes erupted with dozens of Palestinian youths. IOF fired tear gas canisters and sound bombs.

Special units of the occupation army known as “Mistaravim” infiltrated during the clashes and fired live bullets and kidnapped four Palestinians after beating them. The Mistaravim took the four young men to the Psagot settlement which is established on the city’s lands.

In Ni’lin town west of Ramallah IOF launched a campaign of raids that targeted dozens of homes. It searched and tampered with the houses’ contents searching for Hamas’s flag.

Local sources reported that clashes erupted and IOF had summoned five ex-prisoners for investigation and warned them not to celebrate the upcoming release of Hamas leader Shukri Al-Khawaja.

The IOF soldiers also stormed the Al-Majd Printing Press and several stores and tampered with their contents after breaking the doors.

The Prisoners’ Information Office stated that the detainees in Ramallah were Hassan Hammad Muhammad Hammad Muayyad Erian and Muhammad Mahmoud.

Eyewitness said that IOF arrested Aws Salem 20 after storming his house in the town of Bizzaria. Sameh Hammad was also arrested.

In Jenin IOF arrested the released prisoner Nour Al-Baitawi after he was hit by live bullets inside his home in Jenin refugee camp.

Baitawi was previously detained for 7 years in the occupation prisons in 2011.

IOF broke into the camp and a number of citizens’ homes were raided and their contents were tampered with. Ahmed Al-Ghoul was arrested.

The IOF soldiers stormed Qabatiya town south of Jenin and arrested Sultan Nazzal and Sind Nazzal after raiding their houses inside the town.

In Arraba town IOF soldiers arrested Issa Hijazi at a military checkpoint they set up near the town.
