Israeli occupation forces (IOF) launched on Monday night and at dawn Tuesday a campaign of arrests and raids in various areas of the West Bank and Jerusalem during which clashes erupted.
Local sources reported that IOF raided Burkin town southwest of Jenin and stormed several neighborhoods and the local youths confronted the storming.
Armed and violent confrontations broke out between the young men and the IOF soldiers.
Clashes erupted in Deir al-Ghosoun north of Tulkarem between the young men and the IOF soldiers who fired tear gas canisters and live bullets.
IOF arrested six citizens including two brothers and a wounded young man.
In Salfit IOF arrested the two young men from their homes in Deir Istiya town northwest of Salfit.
In Ramallah IOF raided Ein Qinya village and arrested a student at Birzeit University after storming and searching his family’s home and tampering with its contents.
IOF arrested Baher Salhia after breaking into his family’s house in Ras Karkar village west of Ramallah.
In Bethlehem IOF stormed Husan village west of Bethlehem and arrested Ihsan Hamamra 25 after they raided and searched his family’s home.
IOF arrested two released prisoners from Dura town southwest of al-Khalil after storming and searching their houses.
Military checkpoints were set up at the entrances to the towns of Sa’ir and Halhul and at the northern entrances to al-Khalil Jourat Balas and the southern Fahs. IOF stopped and searched citizens’ vehicles and checked their ID cards.
In Occupied Jerusalem the Israeli police arrested Musab Al-Rifai after raiding and searching his family’s home in Anata town.
