Caretaker gov’t calls for emergency meeting for Arab League

Wednesday 31-October-2007

GAZA (PIC)– The PA caretaker government of premier Ismail Haneyya on Wednesday called for an emergency meeting for the Arab League ministerial council to discuss the Israeli crimes against the Palestinian people especially in the Gaza Strip.

The government spokesman Taher Anunu said in a press release that the new “brutal massacre” necessitates the call for such an extraordinary session to discuss the accelerating field developments in Gaza and to adopt firm decisions to break the inhuman oppressive siege imposed on it.

He also asked the world community to assume its historic responsibility especially the UN to rein in the Israeli “aggression and terrorism” against the Palestinian citizens and charged that the world’s silence is considered a “silent participation in the crimes against humanity committed against our people”.

Four PA policemen were killed on Tuesday night in an IOF missile raid on their position in southern Gaza Strip.
