Several Palestinians were injured on Friday in clashes with the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) and others were arrested in various areas of the West Bank and Jerusalem.
The Israeli police arrested a young Jerusalemite after beating him in the Old City of Occupied Jerusalem.
A mobile phone camera for a Jerusalemite documented the moment of attacking the young man.
Meanwhile the Israeli police issued fines to many Jerusalemites near the Church of All Nations in Jerusalem.
Eyewitnesses reported that IOF arrested three young men on Friday evening while they were passing through Beit Furik checkpoint east of Nablus in the northern West Bank.
IOF prevented Palestinian citizens who were not residents of the surrounding villages from passing through the checkpoint according to the sources.
Kamal Bani Odeh the director of the Prisoner Club in Tubas said that IOF arrested Muhammad Salah Elyan from the al-Fara refugee camp south of Nablus while he was passing through the checkpoint.
Casualties and confrontations
IOF quelled a march condemning the establishment of a new settlement outpost in the Ras al-Tin area in Kafr Malik village east of Ramallah.
Local sources reported that clashes broke out between the Palestinian youths and the IOF soldiers in the Ein Samia area near the village. IOF and Jewish settlers fired live bullets and tear gas canisters at the march.
Abdullah Abu Rahma the Director-General of Popular Resistance Committee against the Wall was injured with a gas bomb in his shoulder and others suffered breathing difficulty and were treated in the field.
IOF arrested the medic Muhammad Hussein Hamed 26 while he was trying to treat the injured according to the sources.
In al-Khalil clashes erupted between dozens of Palestinian youths and the IOF soldiers which were stationed at the entrance to Al-Shuhada street in the city center.
Local sources reported that a child 15 was injured by a rubber-coated metal bullet in his thigh.
Meanwhile IOF quelled the weekly anti-settlement march of Kafr Qaddum town to demand the opening of the main road of the town which has been closed for more than 17 years.
Murad Shteiwi the coordinator of the Popular Resistance in Kafr Qaddum stated that IOF soldiers stormed the town after Friday prayer and fired metal-coated bullets and tear gas canisters towards the citizens. As a result a 20-year-old youth was injured with a metal bullet in his head and he was taken to the hospital. Others suffered breathing difficulty during the clashes and were treated in the field.
