Several Palestinian citizens were treated for breathing problems in Beit Umar village in northern al-Khalil on Sunday night after Israeli occupation forces (IOF) raided the village and fired teargas canisters on citizens’ homes.
Local media activist Mohamed Awad said that IOF soldiers stormed the village and fired live bullets teargas canisters and sound bombs on citizens’ homes. Several citizens suffered from suffocation as a result of the intensity of the teargas fired on their houses.
Citizens of Beit Ummar suffer from daily attacks and raids by IOF soldiers manning a nearby military watchtower and roadblock at the village’s entrance which is also near to the citizens’ houses.
Israeli settlements and the separation wall have expropriated vast tracts of the village’s lands.
