Israeli occupation forces (IOF) violently quelled on Friday marches in Beit Dajan village east of Nablus and Kafr Qaddum village in Qalqilia injuring a number of citizens including a child.
Eyewitnesses reported that a citizen was wounded with rubber-coated metal bullets in his head in Beit Dajan and was taken to hospital. Two others were injured in their feet and were treated in the field while dozens suffered breathing problems.
The Beit Dajan march was launched from the Great Mosque. The participants stopped in front of the house of the martyr Atef Hanaysheh who was killed a week ago by IOF gunfire.
The participants then moved to the Al-Thaghrah area in the lands threatened by seizure where the IOF soldiers attacked them.
Local sources reported that the IOF launched a drone to film the marchers and to drop tear gas canisters on them.
Furthermore the IOF tightened its measures at the Beit Furik checkpoint and blocked ambulance crews journalists and activists from entering and participating in the march of the Beit Dajan village.
Another march was launched in Kafr Qaddum rejecting the settlement activities and demanding an end to the closure of village’s main street which has been closed for more than 17 years.
IOF suppressed the march and fired rubber bullets and stun grenades at the citizens. A 15-year-old child was injured by a gas canister in his foot and others suffered breathing difficulties according to local sources.
