Child injured in confrontations with IOF east of Ramallah

Friday 4-December-2020

The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) quelled on Friday a march against settlement activities in the towns of Kafr Malik and al-Mughayyir northeast of Ramallah. Dozens of Palestinians were injured by live bullets and rubber-coated metal bullets including a child.

Medical sources reported that the child Ali Ayman Abu Alya 13 years from the al-Mughayyir village was seriously injured after he was shot by a bullet in his stomach by the IOF soldiers.

The Palestine Red Crescent Society reported that its teams took the injured child to the Palestine Medical Complex in Ramallah for treatment.

Dozens of civilians suffered breathing problems during the confrontations with IOF as citizens were prevented from accessing their lands on which a new settlement outpost was established.

A march was launched from the center of Kafr Malik and the village of al-Mughayyir towards the Ras al-Tin area to condemn the occupation’s intention to establish a new settlement outpost on large areas of the village’s lands.

IOF had tightened its military measures in the vicinity of the town for several weeks as it set up military checkpoints that impede the movement of citizens in the area.
