Civilians arrested homes ravaged in predawn sweep by Israel army

A number of Palestinians were kidnapped by the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) at daybreak Tuesday in abduction sweeps rocking the West Bank.

The Israeli army claimed responsibility for the abduction of 10 Palestinians in an overnight chase over allegations of involvement in anti-occupation activities.

The campaign targeted three Palestinians from Kafr Kaddum in Qalqilya among them two children three from the Fawar refugee camp in al-Khalil three others from Qalqilya’s town of Azzoun and one more Palestinian from Nour Shams camp in Tulkarem.

Injured Palestinian ex-prisoner Omar Kawar was kidnapped by the IOF from his family home in al-Doha town west of Bethlehem.

The Israeli military also ransacked Palestinian civilian homes across West Bank provinces.

The two minors kidnapped in the assault were identified as Khaled Shteiwi aged 13 and Awad Ubaid 14.

At the same time Israeli army patrols rolled into Balata camp east of Nablus at the crack of dawn and rummaged into residential alleyways.

The campaign culminated in the abduction of the two brothers Muhannad and Khalil Ghatasha along with their relative Mohamed from the Fawar refugee camp south of al-Khalil. The three arrestees were dragged to the Etzion detention center north of al-Khalil pending exhaustive questioning.

A number of Palestinians were kidnapped by the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) at daybreak Thursday in abduction sweeps rocking the West Bank.

Heavily-armed Israeli soldiers rolled into Salfit and kidnapped two Palestinian young men after they wreaked havoc on civilian homes.

Israeli army troops also stormed residential neighborhoods in Nablus province and kidnapped two Palestinian young men including the ex-prisoner Kamel Hamran.

A set of flying checkpoints was abruptly pitched by the occupation soldiers in al-Jabal al-Shemali area.

At the same time the Israeli forces closed off the main entrance to the Fawar refugee camp south of al-Khalil with metal gates following fierce clashes with Palestinian anti-occupation youth.

Eye-witnesses said a flock of military vehicles broke into the Fawar camp overnight sparking terror in the area.

The IOF sealed off the main entrance to Wad al-Gharous near the illegal Israeli settlement of Kiryat Arba built on Palestinian land east of al-Khalil.

Meanwhile 20-year-old Luay Sultan was kidnapped by the IOF on his way back home.

The young man was reportedly beaten by Israeli settlers shortly before his arrest.
