Clashes between young men protesting siege and soldiers in Khan Younis

Sunday 4-June-2017

Skirmishes broke out on Saturday afternoon between young protesters and Israeli soldiers east of Khan Younis City south of the Gaza Strip on the second day of anti-siege activities organized by youth groups in the besieged enclave.

According to the Palestinian Information Center (PIC) in Gaza the confrontations happened after soldiers attacked with tear gas a group of young men rallying in an eastern border area of Khan Younis to protest the inhumane blockade on Gaza.

The young men torched tires and threw stones at Israeli military posts. No one was reportedly injured during the events.

Last Friday several protesters and seven paramedics suffered injuries when Israeli soldiers showered their rallies with tear gas and opened fire at them in different border areas east of Gaza.
