Clashes broke out in Nablus at dawn Monday between dozens of local youths and Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) after hundreds of Jewish settlers stormed Youssef tomb under the army protection.
Israeli 0404 website said that 1.000 settlers stormed Youssef Tomb and performed Talmudic rituals.
A PIC reporter quoted eyewitnesses as saying that Israeli buses and cars carrying hundreds of Jewish settlers stormed the city from Beit Furik checkpoint accompanied by large numbers of Israeli military vehicles.
A drone was flying over the area during the raid.
Clashes erupted when the Israeli soldiers randomly fired tear gas bombs during the raid which led to a number of suffocation cases among the Palestinian youths.
The clashes have continued till morning hours with dozens of locals injured in the process.
A number of Israeli army snipers were positioned on rooftops overlooking the area before the settlers entered the area local sources said.
Jewish groups have earlier called for a mass break-in into Youssef tomb on Monday.
