The Israeli occupation police on Thursday stormed Qatanna town in the northwest of Jerusalem and kidnaped Sheikh Saleem Shamasneh a noted social reformer and Mosque Imam provoking violent clashes with local youths.
According to local sources police forces broke into and ransacked the house of Sheikh Shamasneh in the town detained him and confiscated his own car.
Sheikh Shamasneh was an ex-detainee in Israeli jails where he had spent a total of seven years including 18 months in administrative detention.
