Violent clashes broke out at dawn Saturday between Palestinian young men and the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) in Rummanah town west of Jenin in the occupied West Bank after the latter kidnapped a local resident from his home.
Local sources told the Palestinian Information Center (PIC) that Israeli troops from the Salem military base stormed Rummanah town and kidnapped 25-year-old Ahmed al-Ahmed from his home.
Meanwhile angry local young men threw stones at soldiers who responded by firing tear gas and stun grenades.
Several young men suffered from inhaling tear gas during the skirmishes.
Local sources also reported that Israeli soldiers combed an agricultural area in the nearby town of Zabuba and set up a makeshift checkpoint on the Jenin-Haifa road.
