Clashes erupted on Monday evening between Palestinians and the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) in various areas of Bethlehem and Jerusalem.
Local sources reported that the IOF soldiers stormed Tuqu town south of Bethlehem and confrontations broke out near the ancient ruins in the town. IOF fired live bullets at the Palestinian youths.
Tuqu is subjected to constant attacks by IOF and settlers. In 1979 the IOF built a settlement road in the lands of citizens to link the adjacent settlements and outposts to each other.
Meanwhile clashes erupted between the occupation police and dozens of Palestinians after raiding the towns of Al-Tur and Al-Issawiya in Jerusalem.
Eyewitness stated that the Israeli police stormed Al-Tur and fired tear gas canisters at citizens and homes. Several citizens suffered breathing problems.
Furthermore the occupation police broke into Al-Issawiya and violent confrontations erupted. During these clashes the Palestinian youths threw Molotov cocktails stones and firecrackers at the Israeli police who fired bullets tear gas canisters and stun grenades at the citizens.
