Clashes erupted on Monday evening between Palestinian youths and Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) in Kafr Dan town to the west of Jenin in the northern West Bank. Suffocation among Palestinians resulted as IOF soldiers dispersed protesters with tear gas.
Local sources told the PIC reporter that clashes broke out as IOF troops who were stationed downtown started investigating some of the shop owners in the area.
The IOF soldiers showered Palestinian citizens with stun grenades and tear gas canisters leading to breathing problems among the inhabitants including women and children.
Eyewitnesses also pointed out that IOF soldiers were seen deployed at the entrance to Teinnik town west of Jenin and that a military checkpoint was erected in the area.
