A Palestinian photographer Naser al-Shuyukhi on Monday afternoon was shot and injured in the shoulder by Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) while he was covering clashes that erupted between Palestinians and IOF soldiers in al-Khalil city.
Clashes also broke out at the northern entrance to al-Bireh city near Ramallah in the West Bank.
In the same context students of Birzeit University held a sit-in protest at the US President Donald Trump’s decision to endorse Jerusalem as capital of Israel. After the event the student protesters rushed to the site of clashes near Beit El settlement.
Eyewitnesses said that IOF troops closed the DCO barrier north of al-Bireh in both directions before the traffic of Palestinians.
