Clashes with Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) flared anew on Thursday in al-Sanama area north of Salfit in protest at the US recognition of Jerusalem as the capital of Israel.

Local sources told the PIC reporter that Palestinian youths threw stones towards an IOF military watchtower and at settlers’ cars behind the Separation Wall adjacent to the watchtower.

Eyewitnesses said that IOF soldiers fired tear gas canisters at the protesting youths and chased them into olive fields close to the IOF military point.

Clashes between Palestinian youths and Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) flared anew on Wednesday evening near a military watchtower north of the West Bank city of Salfit. Meanwhile IOF soldiers closed the main road in the city.

Eyewitnesses said that Palestinian protesters threw stones at the military watchtower and some IOF patrols behind a wall adjacent to the watchtower.

However IOF troops deliberately fired rubber bullets at the youths during clashes that erupted in protest at the US recognition of Occupied Jerusalem as the capital of Israel.
