Violent clashes broke out Tuesday afternoon between Palestinian young men and Israeli soldiers in Hizma town east Jerusalem following the funeral of martyr Mohamed Salahuddin 20 who is believed to have died as a result of his exposure to medical neglect during his detention.
The events started after soldiers set up a road barrier at the main entrance to the town and obstructed the movement of local residents who came back from the funeral.
According to local sources the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) intensively fired tear gas and stun grenades as well as rubber bullets during the clashes with local youths. A female passerby reportedly suffered greatly from her exposure to tear gas.
The Israeli occupation authority released martyr Salahuddin a few months ago after cancer spread though his body as a result of his exposure to deliberate medical neglect by jailers according to his family.
