The Palestinian Commission for Detainees’ and Ex-Detainees’ Affairs has strongly denounced the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) for raiding Abu Jihad Center for Prisoners’ Affairs at al-Quds University in Abu Dis town east of Jerusalem.
Director of the commission Issa Qaraqe described the violent IOF raid on the headquarters of Abu Jihad Center as a blatant and futile attempt to destroy the archives of the Palestinian captive movement.
Qaraqe appealed to the international community and UN organizations to intervene to put an end to Israel’s persistence in its violations against the Palestinians and their institutions in the West Bank.
Last Saturday an Israeli military force stormed the campus of al-Quds University and broke into and ransacked the center.
