OCCUPIED JERUSALEM (PIC)– New demolition operations in the village of Duhmush in Palestinian lands occupied in 1948 are under way the Duhmush community committee warned despite the central Israeli court’s decision to postpone demolition orders issued against a number of the town’s houses until next October.
The committee said in a statement Sunday that informed sources told them about Israeli intentions to move demolition plans ahead. Residents expressed concern over intentions to carry out orders issued against a number of buildings in the village.
The Israeli district planning committee reportedly referred the village’s zoning plan to the Israeli Ministry of Interior for further examination which made locals to expect the plan would eventually be ratified and thus recognized but after the demolition of the Araqib village in Negev residents were sorely disappointed.
