The Palestinian Ministry of Health in Ramallah announced on Wednesday that 10 deaths 497 new cases of the coronavirus and 1090 recoveries were recorded after conducting 4193 examinations during the past 24 hours.
The ministry confirmed that the new deaths were distributed geographically to 7 deaths in the West Bank and 3 in the Gaza Strip.
It stated that the new infections were recorded as follows: 212 cases in the West Bank and 285 in the Gaza Strip.
487 recovery cases were recorded in the West Bank while 603 recoveries were recorded in the Gaza Strip the ministry added.
The ministry statement noted that the recovery rate of coronavirus reached 92.7 percent while the rate of active infections reached 6.2 percent and the death rate was 1.1% of all infections.
It pointed out that there are 80 critically ill patients who have been admitted to intensive care units including 22 who have been placed on ventilators.
