Mai Al-Kailah the Palestinian Minister of Health announced on Friday that 16 deaths 1511 new cases of the coronavirus and 1625 recoveries were recorded during the past 24 hours.
Kailah confirmed in the daily epidemiological report of coronavirus that 14 deaths were recorded in the West Bank: Qalqilya 2 the suburbs of Jerusalem 2 al-Khalil 4 Jenin 1 Nablus 3 and Ramallah and Al-Bireh 2 in addition to two deaths in the Gaza Strip.
She said that the new cases were distributed as follows: Tubas 21 Qalqilya 59 Tulkarem 45 the suburbs of Jerusalem 28 al-Khalil 206 Jenin 163 Salfit 43 Nablus 84 Bethlehem 80 Ramallah and Al-Bireh 153 Jericho and Al-Aghwar 12 and the Gaza Strip 617.
The new recoveries were recorded according to the following: Tubas 15 Qalqilya 62 Tulkarem 166 Jerusalem suburbs 78 al-Khalil 373 Jenin 167 Salfit 55 Nablus 309 Bethlehem 0 Ramallah and Al-Bireh 311 Jericho and Al-Aghwar 9 and the Gaza Strip 80 the minister added.
Kailah pointed out that there are 205 critically ill patients who have been admitted to intensive care units including 69 who have been placed on ventilators.
She noted that the recovery rate of coronavirus reached 89.3 percent while the rate of active infections reached 9.6 percent and the death rate was 1.1% of all infections.
Regarding the vaccination campaign the total number of people who received the corona vaccine in the West Bank and Gaza Strip reached 33554 including 6045 who received the two doses of the vaccine. The total doses of all vaccinated people until Friday morning reached 39599 doses.
