The Palestinian Ministry of Health in Ramallah announced on Tuesday that 16 deaths 1870 new cases of the coronavirus and 2395 recoveries were recorded during the past 24 hours.
Mai Al-Kailah the Palestinian Minister of Health confirmed in the daily epidemiological report of coronavirus that 10 deaths and 1085 infections were recorded in the West Bank while 6 deaths and 785 new cases were recorded in the Gaza Strip.
She added that the recovery rate of the coronavirus reached 89.8 percent while the rate of active infections reached 9.1 percent and the death rate was 1.1% of all infections the ministry added.
The minister pointed out that there are 213 critically ill patients who have been admitted to intensive care units including 68 who have been placed on ventilators.
Regarding the vaccination campaign Kailah noted that the total number of people who received the corona vaccine in the West Bank and Gaza Strip reached 73964 including 7978 who received the two doses of the vaccine.
