Mai Al-Kailah the Palestinian Minister of Health announced on Tuesday that 17 deaths 1414 new cases of the coronavirus and 2686 recoveries were recorded during the past 24 hours.
Kailah confirmed in the daily epidemiological report of coronavirus that the deaths were recorded as follows: Nablus 3 Qalqilya 1 Bethlehem 1 and the Gaza Strip 12.
She said that the new infections were distributed according to the following: Tulkarem 48 Jenin 71 Nablus 106 Tubas 12 al-Khalil 62 Salfit 5 Ramallah and Al-Bireh 48 Qalqilya 8 Jericho and Al-Aghwar 4 Bethlehem 10 the suburbs of Jerusalem 2 and the Gaza Strip 1038.
The new recovery cases were recorded as follows: Tulkarem 154 Jenin 64 Nablus 440 Tubas 25 al-Khalil 45 Salfit 22 Ramallah and Al-Bireh 152 Qalqilya 24 Jericho and Al-Aghwar 16 Bethlehem 21 and the Gaza Strip 1723 the minister added.
Kailah said that the recovery rate of the coronavirus reached 91.7 percent while the rate of active infections reached 7.2 percent and the death rate was 1.1% of all infections.
She pointed out that there are 140 critically ill patients who have been admitted to intensive care units including 41 who have been placed on ventilators.
Regarding the vaccination campaign the minister noted that the total number of people who received the corona vaccine in the West Bank and Gaza Strip reached 251628 including 165426 who received the two doses of the vaccine.
