Mai Al-Kailah the Palestinian Minister of Health announced on Friday that 18 deaths and 1450 new infections of the coronavirus were recorded in the West Bank Jerusalem and the Gaza Strip during the past 24 hours.
Kailah confirmed in the daily epidemiological report of coronavirus that the recovery rate of coronavirus reached 86.0 percent while the rate of active infections reached 13.0 percent and the death rate was 1.0% of all infections.
She stated that 11 deaths were recorded in the West Bank as follows: the suburbs of Jerusalem 1 Nablus 2 Bethlehem 1 Jenin 3 Tulkarem 1 Ramallah 1 al-Khalil 1 and Qalqilya 1 in addition to 4 deaths in the Gaza Strip and 3 in Jerusalem.
The minister noted that the new cases were distributed according to the following: The suburbs of Jerusalem 36 Salfit 24 Nablus 80 Jericho 12 Tubas 21 Bethlehem 74 Jenin 75 Tulkarem 49 Ramallah 84 al-Khalil 70 Qalqilya 5 Gaza Strip 689 and Jerusalem 231.
The new recovery cases were recorded as follows: Salfit 32 Nablus 204 Jericho 7 Tubas 25 Jenin 135 Tulkarem 83 Ramallah 205 al-Khalil 156 Qalqilya 15 Gaza Strip 881 and Jerusalem 345 she added.
Kailah pointed out that there are 116 critically ill patients who have been admitted to intensive care units including 25 who have been placed on ventilators.
