Mai Al-Kailah the Palestinian Minister of Health announced on Tuesday that 18 deaths 1911 new cases of the corona and 2348 recoveries were recorded after conducting 7416 examinations during the past 24 hours.
Kailah confirmed in the daily epidemiological report of coronavirus that 10 deaths were recorded in the West Bank: Tubas 2 Nablus 1 Qalqilya 1 Jenin 1 Tulkarem 1 Salfit 1 Bethlehem 1 al-Khalil 2 in addition to 8 deaths in the Gaza Strip.
She stated that the new infections were distributed as follows: Tubas 47 Nablus 196 Qalqilya 28 Jenin 110 Tulkarem 45 Salfit 16 al-Khalil 80 Ramallah and Al-Bireh 69 Bethlehem 18 Jericho and Al-Aghwar 7 the suburbs of Jerusalem 3 and the Gaza Strip 1292.
The new recovery cases were recorded according to the following: Tubas 46 Nablus 465 Qalqilya 64 Jenin 189 Tulkarem 290 Salfit 26 al-Khalil 263 Ramallah and Al-Bireh 87 Bethlehem 37 Jericho and Al-Aghwar 11 the suburbs of Jerusalem 13 and the Gaza Strip 857 the minister added.
Kailah said that the recovery rate of the coronavirus reached 88.0 percent while the rate of active infections reached 11.0 percent and the death rate was 1.0% of all infections the minister added.
She pointed out that there are 182 critically ill patients who have been admitted to intensive care units including 56 who have been placed on ventilators.
Regarding the vaccination campaign the total number of people who received the corona vaccine in the West Bank and Gaza Strip reached 151022 including 17660 who received the two doses of the vaccine.
