Mai Al-Kailah the Palestinian Minister of Health announced on Sunday that 20 deaths 578 new cases of the coronavirus and 862 recoveries were recorded during the past 24 hours.
Kailah confirmed in the daily epidemiological report of coronavirus that the new deaths were recorded as follows: Bethlehem 1 Tulkarem 1 Qalqilya 2 Jenin 3 Ramallah and Al-Bireh 4 al-Khalil 1 the Gaza Strip 6 and Jerusalem 2.
She added that the new infections were distributed according to the following: Tubas 22 Bethlehem 35 Nablus 47 Tulkarem 25 Salfit 17 the suburbs of Jerusalem 8 Qalqilya 8 Jericho Al-Aghwar 3 Jenin 20 Ramallah and Al-Bireh 37 al-Khalil 28 Gaza Strip 212 and Jerusalem 116 noting that 4086 examinations were conducted.
The new recoveries were recorded as follows: Tubas 27 Bethlehem 41 Tulkarem 29 Salfit 19 Qalqilya 23 Jericho and Al-Aghwar 9 Jenin 21 Ramallah and Al-Bireh 75 al-Khalil 32 the Gaza Strip 360 and Jerusalem 226 the minister added.
She noted that the recovery rate of coronavirus reached 91.8 percent while the rate of active infections reached 7.1 percent and the death rate was 1.1% of all infections.
Kailah pointed out that there are 84 critically ill patients who have been admitted to intensive care units including 21 who have been placed on ventilators.
