Mai Al-Kailah the Palestinian Minister of Health announced on Friday that 21 deaths 1743 new cases of the coronavirus and 2451 recoveries were recorded during the last 24 hours.
Kailah stated in the daily epidemiological report of coronavirus that 15 deaths were recorded in the West Bank as follows: Bethlehem 5 Salfit 1 the suburbs of Jerusalem 2 Nablus 3 Ramallah and Al-Bireh 2 and Jenin 2 in addition to 6 deaths in the Gaza Strip.
The new cases were distributed according to the following: al-Khalil 182 Jenin 203 Nablus 208 Tulkarem 115 Ramallah and Al-Bireh 152 Salfit 38 Qalqilya 35 Tubas 38 Bethlehem 104 the suburbs of Jerusalem 32 Jericho and Al-Aghwar 19 and the Gaza Strip 617 she said.
She pointed out that the new cases of recovery were recorded as follows: al-Khalil 226 Jenin 226 Nablus 203 Tulkarem 117 Qalqilya 57 Bethlehem 347 Salfit 27 Tubas 53 Ramallah and Al-Bireh 434 Jericho and Al-Aghwar 31 and the Gaza Strip 730.
The minister noted that the recovery rate of coronavirus reached 77.9 percent while the rate of active infections reached 21.3 percent and the death rate was 0.8% of all infections.
Kailah pointed out that there are 81 critically ill patients who have been admitted to intensive care units including 23 who have been placed on ventilators.
