Mai Al-Kailah the Palestinian Minister of Health announced on Friday that 21 deaths 2170 new infections with the coronavirus and 1791 recoveries were recorded during the past 24 hours.
Kailah stated in the daily epidemiological report of coronavirus that the new deaths were recorded as follows: al-Khalil 1 Bethlehem 2 Jenin 2 Ramallah and Al-Bireh 2 Salfit 1 Tulkarem 1 Qalqilya 2 Nablus 3 Gaza Strip 5 and Jerusalem 2.
The new infections were distributed according to the following: al-Khalil 155 Jenin 148 Nablus 164 Tulkarem 75 Ramallah and Al-Bireh 116 Salfit 38 Qalqilya 29 Tubas 29 Bethlehem 89 the suburbs of Jerusalem 6 Jericho and Al-Aghwar 11 the Gaza Strip 997 and Jerusalem 313 while 7163 examinations were conducted she said.
She added that the new cases of recovery were recorded according to the following: al-Khalil 219 Jenin 163 Nablus 222 Tulkarem 90 Salfit 37 Tubas 39 Ramallah and Al-Bireh 185 Qalqilya 48 Gaza Strip 574 and Jerusalem 214.
The minister noted that the recovery rate of coronavirus reached 80.2 percent while the rate of active infections reached 18.9 percent and the death rate was 0.9% of all infections.
Kailah pointed out that there are 131 critically ill patients who have been admitted to intensive care units including 34 who have been placed on ventilators.
