Mai Al-Kailah the Palestinian Minister of Health announced on Friday that 27 deaths and 822 new cases of the coronavirus were recorded in the West Bank Jerusalem and the Gaza Strip during the past 24 hours.
Kailah confirmed in the daily epidemiological report of coronavirus that 12 deaths were recorded in the West Bank as follows: Salfit 1 Qalqilya 2 Nablus 1 Jenin 6 al-Khalil 2 in addition to 10 deaths in the Gaza Strip and 5 in Jerusalem.
She stated that the new infections were distributed according to the following: Salfit 16 the suburbs of Jerusalem 15 Ramallah and Al-Bireh 55 Tulkarem 26 Qalqilya 9 Nablus 33 Jenin 19 al-Khalil 35 Bethlehem 18 Tubas 5 Jericho and Al-Aghwar 3 the Gaza Strip 403 and Jerusalem 185.
The new recoveries were recorded as follows: Salfit 22 the suburbs of Jerusalem 97 Ramallah and Al-Bireh 162 Tulkarem 76 Qalqilya 14 Nablus 174 Jenin 41 al-Khalil 54 Tubas 49 Jericho and Al-Aghwar 12 Gaza Strip 700 and Jerusalem 245 according to the minister.
She noted that the recovery rate of coronavirus reached 91.3 percent while the rate of active infections reached 7.6 percent and the death rate was 1.1% of all infections.
Kailah pointed out that there are 87 critically ill patients who have been admitted to intensive care units including 20 who have been placed on ventilators.
