The Palestinian Ministry of Health in Ramallah announced on Saturday that 28 deaths and 1618 new cases of coronavirus and 1773 recoveries were recorded during the past 24 hours.
Mai Al-Kailah the Palestinian Minister of Health confirmed in the daily epidemiological report of coronavirus that 18 deaths and 300 infections were recorded in the West Bank while 10 deaths and 1318 new cases were recorded in the Gaza Strip.
Kailah said that the recovery rate of the coronavirus reached 88.7 percent while the rate of active infections reached 10.3 percent and the death rate was 1.0% of all infections.
She pointed out that there are 172 critically ill patients who have been admitted to intensive care units including 51 who have been placed on ventilators.
Regarding the vaccination campaign the minister noted that the total number of people who received the corona vaccine in the West Bank and Gaza Strip reached 159754 including 23113 who received the two doses of the vaccine.
