The Palestinian Ministry of Health in Ramallah on Tuesday reported 9 new deaths associated with COVID-19 (coronavirus) and 516 new infections during the past 24 hours.
Mai Al-Kailah the Palestinian Minister of Health indicated in a press release that two deaths were recorded in the West Bank and two deaths in the Gaza Strip. They were all suffering from chronic diseases.
She stated that 443 new infections were recorded in the West Bank and 73 in the Gaza Strip.
The Minister indicated that there are 41 critically ill patients who have been admitted to intensive care units including 7 who have been placed on ventilators.
Kailah explained that the total number of the infections registered by the Ministry of Health reached 56467 of whom 49332 recovered while the number of deaths reached 459.
