Mai Al-Kailah the Palestinian Minister of Health announced on Tuesday that one death 99 new cases of the coronavirus and 113 recoveries were recorded after conducting 3271 examinations during the past 24 hours.
Kailah confirmed in the daily epidemiological report of coronavirus that the single fatality was recorded in the Gaza Strip while no deaths were recorded in the West Bank.
She said that the new infections were distributed as follows: Salfit 1 the outskirts of Jerusalem 1 Jenin 4 Bethlehem 2 al-Khalil 5 Ramallah and Al-Bireh 3 Nablus 1 and the Gaza Strip 82.
The new recovery cases were recorded according to the following: Jenin 13 al-Khalil 7 Ramallah 1 and the Gaza Strip 92 the minister added.
She said that the recovery rate of the coronavirus reached 98.4 percent while the rate of active infections reached 0.5 percent and the death rate was 1.1% of all infections.
She pointed out that there are 6 critically ill patients who have been admitted to intensive care units.
Regarding the vaccination campaign the minister noted that the total number of people who received the corona vaccine in the West Bank and Gaza Strip reached 552692 including 394413 who received the two doses of the vaccine.
