The Palestinian Ministry of Health in Ramallah on Wednesday reported ten new deaths associated with COVID-19 (coronavirus) and 670 new infected cases after conducting 4111 tests over the past 24 hours.
The ministry said in the daily report about developments of the coronavirus pandemic in Palestine that five deaths and 292 new infections were recorded in the West Bank while three deaths and 178 infections were recorded in the Gaza Strip and two deaths were reported in Occupied Jerusalem and 200 infections.
It added that the recovery rate of coronavirus reached 94.1 percent while the rate of active infections reached 4.8 percent and the death rate was 1.1% of all infections.
The number of recoveries were recorded as follows: 199 in Occupied Jerusalem 285 in Gaza Strip and 255 in the West Bank it underlined.
The ministry pointed out that 53 critically ill patients have been admitted to intensive care units including 21 who have been placed on ventilators.
