The Palestinian Minister of Health Mai al-Kaila announced on Saturday that 14 deaths 1485 new cases of the coronavirus and 1969 recoveries were recorded during the past 24 hours.
She said in the daily epidemiological report of coronavirus that 9 deaths were recorded in the Gaza Strip while five deaths were recorded in the West Bank.
She said that the recovery rate of the coronavirus reached 91 percent while the rate of active infections reached 8 percent and the death rate was 1 percent of all infections.
Kaila pointed out that there are 72 critically ill patients who have been admitted to intensive care units while 171 others are treated in the West Bank’s COVID-19 sections in various hospitals including 15 who have been placed on ventilators.
Regarding the vaccination campaign the total number of people who received the corona vaccine in the West Bank and Gaza Strip reached 1202482 including 499118 who received the two doses of the vaccine the minister concluded.
