The Palestinian Minister of Health Mai al-Kaila announced on Friday that seven deaths 2494 new cases of the coronavirus and 889 recoveries were recorded during the past 24 hours.
She said in the daily epidemiological report of coronavirus that one death was recorded in al-Khalil one in Salfit two in Tulkarem and three in Gaza Strip.
The new cases were recorded as follows: Qalqilia 99 Tulkarem 219 Salfit 93 Nablus 321 Tubas 18 Jenin 140 Ramallah and El-Bireh 119 Jericho and the Jordan Valley 4 Jerusalem suburbs 11 al-Khalil 48 Bethlehem 2 and Gaza Strip 1420 the minister underlined pointing out that 12827 Corona tests were conducted.
She added that the recovery cases were recorded as follows: Qalqilia 39 Tulkarem 130 Salfit 11 Nablus 129 Tubas 15 Jenin 61 Ramallah and El-Bireh 58 Jericho and the Jordan Valley 1 Jerusalem suburbs 6 al-Khalil 30 Bethlehem 59 and Gaza Strip 404.
She said that the recovery rate of the coronavirus reached 92.2 percent while the rate of active infections reached 6.8 percent and the death rate was 1.0 percent of all infections.
Kaila pointed out that there are 54 critically ill patients who have been admitted to intensive care units while 147 others are treated in the West Bank’s COVID-19 sections in various hospitals including 10 who have been placed on ventilators.
Regarding the vaccination campaign the total number of people who received the corona vaccine in the West Bank and Gaza Strip reached 1086136 including 466316 who received the two doses of the vaccine the minister concluded.
