A Palestinian doctor succumbed to his serious wound on Friday morning which he suffered after Israeli occupation forces (IOF) shot at Jenin Hospital during a raid on Jenin refugee camp earlier at dawn.
The Palestinian ministry of health announced that Dr. Abdullah al-Ahmad who works in the Jenin Government Hospital was hit with an IOF bullet in the head and his condition was described as “very serious”.
He was later pronounced dead in the hospital where he was shot while working in the hospital’s front yard.
A hospital statement said that the IOF bullets also injured two other paramedics while they were trying to extend aid to a wounded citizen.
Local sources said that the invading IOF soldiers blocked movement of ambulance vehicles and crews while trying to help treat the casualties and fired at them.
The doctor’s death brings the number of Palestinians killed by the IOF in the West Bank and Gaza Strip since the start of 2022 to 170.
