The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) launched a teargas attack on Monday morning on Palestinian farmers that damaged their crops in the east of Gaza City.
According to local sources swaths of cultivated land caught fire after IOF soldiers fired a volley of tear gas canisters from watchtowers behind the border fence at a group of farmers as they were working their lands in at-Taqah area.
Luckily no one was hurt but the intensity of tear gas forced the farmers to stop working their lands and leave the area.
Under an inhumane siege the Israeli army keeps attacking — sometimes injuring or killing — farmers and fishermen almost on a daily basis with no regard for any mediated ceasefire understandings over Gaza or even the international law.
