GAZA (PIC)– The borders and crossings department in the PA interior ministry in Gaza Strip announced on Wednesday that an agreement was reached on opening the Rafah border terminal with the Egyptian side.
Adel Zu’rub the spokesman for the department said in a press release that the agreement stipulates the departure of patients students and holders of residences abroad.
The department had earlier announced that the crossing would be open for those coming from Egypt into Gaza only and would remain closed before those leaving the Strip because the Egyptian side did not allow their departure.
It said that the Palestinian government was interested in opening the crossing and improving conditions of passengers and refused the current humiliation of the Palestinian passengers.
