Palestinian national and civil organizations called for lifting the sanctions imposed on Gaza Strip by the Palestinian Authority (PA). They affirmed the continuation of protests until their demand is met.
In coincidence with another demonstration for the same demand in Ramallah in the West Bank the organizations in Gaza held a protest in the city where they stressed the importance to start consultations for the formation of a national unity government to supervise the general elections in order to establish a real national partnership.
The protesters in Gaza called on the PA President Mahmoud Abbas to issue a decree in which he determines the general elections’ date provides guarantees to protect elections by Arab and international supervision and form a new national council that represents all Palestinian factions.
