Dozens of Palestinians in Tulkarem city in the northwest of the West Bank participated in a demonstration at Jamal Abdul Naser Square. The protesters asked the Palestinian Authority (PA) to lift the sanctions imposed on the besieged Gaza Strip.
The participants also called on the PA to support the steadfastness of the people of Gaza in confronting the Israeli occupation and the ongoing siege.
The protesters who took to the streets in response to calls made by “Lift the Sanctions” campaign carried Palestinian flags and banners calling for national unity and chanted slogans demanding confronting the US deal of the century.
Members of Fatah movement and PA security forces in civil clothes assaulted the Palestinian journalist Majdoulin Hasouneh banned her from covering the event and attempted to confiscate her mobile phone.
