The Palestinian detainee Ahmad Zahran has been on hunger strike in Israeli jails for 83 consecutive days protesting his detention without charge or trial.
The Palestinian Detainees and Ex-Detainees Affairs Commission said that Zahran has lost over 30 kilograms in weight and he is currently held at the Israeli Kaplan Medical Center.
The commission said that Zahran is in a very bad health condition especially that he stopped drinking water a few days ago.
According to the commission’s lawyer the Israel Prison Service still refuses to respond to Zahran’s demands or put forward serious solutions to his case.
Zahran 42 is a resident of Deir Abu Mash’al village northwest of Ramallah and he had spent a total of 15 years in Israeli jails.
