Detainees Committee warns of deterioration of prisoner’s health

Detainees and Ex-detainees Committee warned on Thursday of the seriousness of the health condition of captive Hussein Attalla who is suffering from cancer in five parts of his body. The Committee said they have started exerting legal efforts in order to secure an early release for him.

The lawyer of the Committee Yousef Nasasra said that detainee Atalla who is languishing in Soroka Israeli hospital is struggling with cancer in the lungs spine liver pancreas and head. Nevertheless he has been tied to hospital bed all the time. He is also deprived of family visits the lawyer pointed out.

Prisoner Attala is from Nablus city and serving a sentence of 32 years. He has served 21 years so far.

In a similar context lawyers of the Committee reported that each of Maher Ebaiyat from Bethlehem and both of Yazid al-Rimawi and Omar Taha from Beit Rima town near Ramallah as well as Azzam Rabi from Qalandiya near Occupied Jerusalem are all suffering critical health conditions in Israeli jails.
